She Said Saffron

Written and performed by Lisa Pijuan-Nomura

"Light on her feet and expressive of voice, Pijuan is absolutely captivating."
- Paula Citron, 96.3 Classical FM

She Said Saffron is a one-woman dance theatre that was created and performed by Lisa Pijuan-Nomura. She Said Saffron is Lisa Pijuan-Nomura’s one-woman show about food, family and first love. Combining storytelling and dance, Lisa tells us stories of real food vs. fake food, the wisdom of grandparents and the making of a paella dinner. Inspired by her own life, She Said Saffron is a colourful piece that fuses old world Spain with the new world of Canada.

She Said Saffron’s creative team consists of highly talented artists Meagan O’Shea (Stage Direction and Choreography), Ilse Gudino(Flamenco Choreography), Marjorie Chan(Dramaturgy) and Robin Dutt(Lighting Design).

Lisa Pijuan-Nomura is a multi-disciplinary artist who lives and works in Toronto. She has performed theatre, dance, comedy, song and puppetry in Toronto, Montreal, Mexico, Ireland and Calgary for the past 12 years. She is currently focused on creating art based on personal story.
