She Said Saffron is a one-woman dance theatre that was
created and performed by Lisa Pijuan-Nomura. She Said Saffron is Lisa Pijuan-Nomura’s
one-woman show about food, family and first love. Combining storytelling and
dance, Lisa tells us stories of real food vs. fake food, the wisdom of
grandparents and the making of a paella dinner. Inspired by her own life,
She Said Saffron is a colourful piece that fuses old world Spain with the
new world of Canada.
She Said Saffron’s creative team consists of highly talented
artists Meagan O’Shea (Stage Direction and Choreography), Ilse
Gudino(Flamenco Choreography), Marjorie Chan(Dramaturgy) and Robin
Dutt(Lighting Design).
Lisa Pijuan-Nomura is a multi-disciplinary artist who lives
and works in Toronto. She has performed theatre, dance, comedy, song and
puppetry in Toronto, Montreal, Mexico, Ireland and Calgary for the past 12
years. She is currently focused on creating art based on personal story.
