1st Year Anniversary

A Schubert Valentine
Alicier Arts Chamber Music celebrates the Feast of St Valentine - and our 1st Birthday! - with an afternoon of music that transports you back in time to the Romantic era. Let Cupid's arrows fly to strike chords of eternal harmony, through the music of Franz Schubert, the 19th Century's incomparable King of Lovesong.
Led by Artistic Directors Kimberley Schemeit and Phoebe Tsang, the Alicier Arts Chamber Music concert-series has been gaining a reputation for affordable yet high-quality concerts in Toronto’s West End community, since its inception in February 2006.
This programme of music features lush and lyrical works by Schubert and his contemporaries - including Lieder settings of classic German poetry - for soprano, flute, strings and piano. Let your ears luxuriate in the music and poetry that defined the European "salon" of the 1800s.
