The Spirit of Christmas
The spirit of Christmas is not in plain view,
it’s hidden inside, of me - and of you.
It starts with a warm glow in early November
and moves - like a warm front right into December.
It spreads a feeling that’s hard to define,
to all those around us - from your house to mine.
It’s
a feeling of joy - it’s a feeling of love -
it’s a feeling of peace, sent to us from above,
from above - where the Lord and his angels dwell -
comes the message that we know so well:
"Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all Men" -
do not ignore it - hark to it then.
Inscribe
it deep into your heart,
with Jesus Christ it had its start
Inscribe it deep into your soul,
that message, that will make you whole.
Not
just at Christmas, but throughout the year,
know that you’re not alone - know God is near,
know that He guides you by night and by day -
and loves the least of us - won’t lead us astray.
He
loves us even when we think we’re "bad",
if you make a mistake, don’t feel too sad,
just know, it’s a lesson you had to learn -
when you realize this - many credits you earn
towards your "Graduation" in this school of life,
there will be some hardships, some toil, some strife,
some obstacles - that you must overcome -
each time you solve problems you’re growing some -
until - when everything you do -
reflects a whole - a better "YOU"
So,
sit back and relax and be of good cheer -
To all "MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR"
