Niagara Falls, Ontario (March 01, 2004) - The Niagara Wine & Food Classic, presented to you in part by Gourmet, the Magazine of Good Living, is pleased to announce the dates for the third annual international celebration of wine and cuisine. This year’s event will take place Friday, September 10 through Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Niagara Parks, Queen Victoria Park.

The Niagara Wine & Food Classic extends an invitation to the world to experience the aromas of international wines while savoring the exquisite creations of world class chefs, all culminating in a magical weekend rich in flavours, creativity and entertainment. "This event invites the world to sample the great wine and food that are now part of the unparalleled variety of sights, sounds and tastes of Niagara," said Jim Bradley, Minister of Tourism and Recreation.

The Niagara Wine & Food Classic current partners include: Gourmet Magazine, Niagara Falls Tourism, the Canadian Tourism Commission, the Niagara Parks Commission, the Niagara Culinary Institute, the Wine Council of Ontario, the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation, Human Resources Development Canada, and Food Network Canada.

The signature event of the Ontario wine and culinary strategy is now in its third successful year and is touted as a wine and culinary event of international scope. Wendy Koh, Senior Development Consultant with the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation’s Investment and Development Office stated, "The celebration of wine and culinary arts amidst the spectacular scenery of the Niagara Peninsula is an experience to savour. The event is an opportunity to meet some of the internationally renowned vintners and talented chefs in the world."
