Planet in Focus Participates in Humanitas Festival with Celebrated Filmmaker Panel |

Film critic Geoff Pevere will moderate Toronto Through The Cinematic Lens: A Conversation, with award winning local filmmakers Ruba Nadda, Peter Lynch, Min Sook Lee, and Peter Shatalow, a Planet in Focus International Environmental Film & Video presentation as part of the city’s month-long Humanitas Festival. The panel will discuss the iconography of the city of Toronto in the body of their works at the state-of-the-art theatre at Todmorden Mills Heritage Museum and Arts Centre on Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations are required as seating is limited.The panel is presented as a prelude to the Planet in Focus Spotlight Porgramme on Toronto in the Moving Image from the Dawn of Cinema to the Present. The retrospective will present the city of Toronto as an "evolving work in progress" as recorded through the cinematic lens. The Spotlight Programme will be a new feature of this year’s festival which runs November 1-5, 2006. This Humanitas Festival event will provide you with a taste of what to expect at our festival.
