Solos … Duos … Trios …. and a Chamber Orchestra …COUNTDOWN TO SUMMER!With the 2nd concert from new seriesAlicier Arts Chamber Music |
||
Alicier Arts brings together some of Toronto’s best young talent for an afternoon of diverse and upbeat soundbites from an eclectic array of composers including: JS Bach, Robert Schumann Gabriel Faure, Handel-Halvorsen Paul Hindemith, Eric Ewazen and more … Instead of the traditional format of classical programs, Alicier Arts presents a wide selection of instrumentalists and repertoire on each concert. We believe that this enables our audience to sample a variety of musical styles and idioms, giving them a taste of larger compositions as a way to pique their interest in the art-form. At the heart of this concert will be JS Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.4 performed by soloists Kimberley Schemeit, Phoebe Tsang and Altus Flute artist Christopher Lee with members of the Alicier Arts Chamber Orchestra.
Alicier Arts was founded in February 2006 by violinist Phoebe Tsang and flutist Kimberley Schemeit. Alicier Arts aims to strengthen and develop the community of Toronto-based young artists and audiences, emphasizing the collaborative and communicative aspects of chamber music. Performers:
