A Poet's Prayer

Stretched from shore to shore
Bearing trees and bushes
And blossoms I so adore.

Grant me oh Lord the wisdom
How to verbalize anew
The images of your awesome creations
Arising each sunrise in morning dew.

When life's burdens may surround me
For strength and courage I humbly pray -
So I ever may be thankful
For the blessings of each day.
