"Members-at-home" event…
…of the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce at one of the newest and most impressive BMW dealerships in the Greater Toronto Area.
Parkview BMW on Leslie Street and the management of BMW Canada – represented by VP Walter Schauer, hosted this membership ‘get-together’ for the CGC on the 16th of July. Exquisitely catered – by Encore – it gave the guests who Uwe Harnack, President & CEO of the ‘Deutsch-Kanadische Handelskammer’, had invited, an opportunity to meet, mingle and talk, and to admire the impressive latest model Beamers on display at this modern, up to date dealership.
The
new Z4 BMW Roadster was one of the most remarkable examples of quality
German engineering and was available for a ‘test-drive’ by the guests.
Needless to mention that this rare opportunity was seized upon by many of
the guests on this unique occasion. The praise and the "WOW" reaction was
unanimous after the test drives.
Other
services offered by the dealership that day were a free car wash – if you
had a BMW – and to have your car serviced while you contemplated selecting
your next one!
Factory trained and very knowledgeable Service Specialists were also on hand to field technical questions the guests might have had, regarding their own BMW’s.
A welcoming address by Terry Rafih, president of Parkview BMW, Hendrick v. Kühnheim, Uwe Harnack and other dignitaries concluded the official part of the reception.
Everyone
went back into the large foyer, to enjoy more of the delicious canapés,
desserts, wines and Fred Lavon’s "Paulaner Hefe Weißbier" – if you can get
it! However, it is still around and still very "süffig" (tasty)! r.k.a.
