Opera York Announces
10th Great Season!

  Thornhill - Opera York returns for a 10th great season of providing high quality productions at an affordable price. The 2006-2007 season was announced at a September Member Appreciation Soirée at Cilento Winery in Woodbridge. The free evening was open to members and sponsors and their guests and featured performances by the artistic directors and leading performers of the new season. Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro will start the season with two full productions on November 16 and 18th at the Markham Theatre and the St. Elizabeth Theatre respectively. Geoffrey Butler will return as Artistic Director and Lucia Cesaroni will play the lead role of Susanna. In the spring, Sabatino Vacca will direct Verdi’s La Traviata with Sinead Sugure in the lead role of Violetta. Two full productions of La Traviata will take place March 1st and 3rd at Markham Theatre and St. Elizabeth Theatre respectively. Subscription tickets are available for $50 by calling Opera York at 905-763-7853. Regular price tickets are $30 and are available at Opera York for St. Elizabeth Theatre and at Markham Theatre by calling 905-305-7469.
