COC Surpasses $10 Million In Advance Ticket Sales For 2007/08 |
||
Toronto, Ontario – For the first time in its history, the Canadian Opera Company has surpassed $10 million in gross subscription sales for the forthcoming season. This translates to over 100,000 seats sold so far for 2007/08 which is an increase of over 16,000 seats sold by the same time last year. Currently, the COC has close to 17,000 subscribers, which represents $10,259,000 in gross revenue. Since the late Richard Bradshaw’s appointment as Artistic Director in 1994/95, the COC has steadily increased its ticket sales leading up to the opening of the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, in which it played to 99% of capacity in its inaugural season. With an increased subscription base for its forthcoming 2007/08 season, the COC is set to possibly surpass the success of the 2006/07 season. Despite the record-breaking sales, there are still seats left for sale for the 2007/08 season. Single tickets for The Marriage of Figaro and Don Carlos, subscription packages and Multi Packs for 2007/08 season may be purchased by calling 416-363-8231, online at www.coc.ca, or in person at the Four Seasons Centre Box Office (145 Queen St. W., Toronto).Production Sponsor of The Marriage of Figaro: RBC Financial Group Production Sponsor of Don Carlos: Harry Winston
