2005 Kinder / Junior Manoeverball |
||
by Kerstin SaurThis year only 4 groups attended the Bundesmanoeverball, Fred Wagner dance competition. Oshawa, Sarnia, Brantford and Kitchener participated. Armin Hellmann, our Bundespresident, welcomed everyone. About 200 parents, family and guests filled the great hall at the Concordia Club to cheer the Garde girls on. Inge Wagner was ill, and in her absence, Brigitte Brocker took over as MC. Max and Moritz (aka: Heinz Henzler and Ehrhart Kuhlman) looked after the music as usual. But this year, Armin gave them a new nickname, Sleeping Beauty and Speedy Consales. All the groups did a super job. All the hard work and practice paid off. While waiting for the judges to tally up the results, Steve Haas led everyone around the hall in a polonaise. While all the guards were assembled, Steve read a letter from Ingrid Wagner, addressed to the girls. Everyone went home tired, but happy. See you next year!
