2 x 2 Exhibition
at the Living Arts Centre
Mississauga, Ontario – The Living Arts Centre is
proud to announce the opening of 2x2, an exhibition of works by the Colour
and Form Society.
This exhibit by the prestigious arts collective
will showcase works in a variety of media, all 2’x2’ in size.
2 x 2 is a touring exhibition which celebrates the
55th anniversary of the Colour and Form Society’s membership. The Colour and
Form Society has a membership of close to 100 professional artists whose
work range from figurative representational works to abstract studies that
explores the formal elements of art.
The Colour and Form Society has played a
significant role in the development of the visual arts in Canada. Since its
formation in 1952, the Society has welcomed artists from all over the world.
Many of its members have exhibited their work nationally and abroad in
venues in Africa, Asia and Europe.
2x2 runs from May 5th to May 2nd, 2007,
with an opening reception on Saturday May 5th from 1-3 pm. Admission is
free. Laidlaw Hall Gallery programming continues to support the artist
vision of Mississauga artists and arts organizations.
Laidlaw Hall Gallery is located on the second
floor of the Living Arts Centre. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Saturday from
10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.
