Mirobolus Jazz Trio
& Lakeshore Brass:
special guests to Kingsway area concert series
Alicier Arts Chamber Music brings the 2006-07
concert season to a rousing finale with an exciting blend of musical treats:
classical and popular music with a Spanish flavor, from the tango fire of
Astor Piazzolla to the Latin swing of guest artists the Mirobolus jazz
trio.
Community-based guest artists the Lakeshore
Brass will bring this concert to a spectacular finish with their
performance of excerpts from the Spanish Harlem of Leonard Bernstein's
West Side Story, the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet set in twentieth
century New York.
Led by Artistic Directors Kimberley Schemeit and
Phoebe Tsang, the Alicier Arts Chamber Music concert-series has been gaining
a reputation for affordable yet high-quality concerts in Toronto’s West End
community, since its inception in February 2006.
Celebrate the end of our second season of concerts
in the Kingsway area, and herald the beginning of summer, with this fiery
and passionate programme of popular classics that will have you dancing in
the aisles.
