 Winter in Canada is a
time to hibernate but not when Walter Ostanek and his band come
to the Donau Schwaben Club.
Then it’s time to polish up your dancing shoes and take
your best girl to the dance floor.
The evening got started with some hearty German soul food
of Schnitzel and Goulash with all the trimmings. And don’t forget the cake for dessert for that extra bit
of octane in your step.
The Frauengrouppe once again out did themselves in their
hospitality. There
was lots of room on the dance floor to work off the no-calorie
meal and enjoy the evening with old friends and new with lots of
fabulous music.
There were also a few birthdays to celebrate too and Walter
Ostanek with his band serenaded each one with the Birthday Song.
 Our esteemed Joe Folk, President of the Donauschwaben
Club was one of the birthday celebrants. Yes, you guessed it—he’s 39 again. We wish him many more.
Keep those dancing shoes polished up for the Valentine Dance
