TORONTO/CNW/ - On Saturday March 27 Canadians will join millions of people around the world in turning off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change. TVOKids invites you to be part of it. Join TVOKids at the Ontario Science Centre for Earth Hour performances, one of which is a free outdoor evening stage show.

The TVOKids Don't Sit Still Tour presented by EatRight Ontario, with sponsorship in part by Egg Farmers of Ontario, will present three live performances. The afternoon performances at 2 pm and 3:30 pm are free with admission to the Ontario Science Centre. The third performance will be part of a free Earth Hour celebration at 8 pm in the TELUSCAPE.

Mark, new TVOKids host Kara and EnviroGirl will pair the "Don't Sit Still" message of healthy eating and healthy lifestyle with the mission of keeping our Earth healthy. As a memento of the show and its message of healthy living and eating, kids receive free Don't Sit Still bags.

Also as part of the outdoor evening show, TVOKids in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, proudly present StarWatch. Now in its third year, StarWatch is a Canada-wide experiment that measures light pollution levels during and after Earth Hour.

TVOKids' celebration of the Earth continues through to Earth Day, April 22. During TVOKids' afternoon program block, The Space, the TVOKids hosts will share tips with viewers on how to keep our planet healthy. And over at tvokids.com, keen kids can use their green knowledge to create an eco-friendly spaceship in the Captain Kent Eco Cruiser contest.

Following are the details for the three Earth Hour performances at the Ontario Science Centre. Each show is approximately 30 minutes.

Don't Sit Still Tour performances at 2 pm and 3:30 pm (free with admission to the Ontario Science Centre) and 8 pm (free)
