Canadian Pen Pals wanted in Germany


We recently received a letter from Adolf Lang, Founder and Director of the International Catholic Correspondence Department. He explains the history of the organisation: Shortly after WWII he himself and a French professor started the Int. Catholic Correspondence Organisation to promote understanding, reconciliation and friendship by letter writing. The organisation keeps the traditional values and endeavours to be ecumenically open and tolerant.

From this modest beginning in 1950 some 800 thousand letter friendships on all continents have resulted.

Mr. Lang told us that every year 2 out of 3 letters asking for a pen pal connection are requests for a pen pal in Canada from Germany. Our way of life, our culture and faith and the principles we hold dear as citizens have generated tremendous feelings for our country.

Anyone interested in striking up such a friendship should supply the following for the best possible match ups: Name, age, address, hobbies, and languages spoken and written. All his students write in English, so language is not an important consideration.
