The COC’s presentation of Richard Wagner’s monumental Ring Cycle continues with Siegfried. Acclaimed filmmaker François Girard directs the second installment of Wagner’s epic journey, as Siegfried follows his own path towards self-discovery and in the process determines the fate of the gods and mankind. German heldentenor Christian Franz makes his COC debut as Siegfried. Celebrated Canadian soprano Frances Ginzer and baritone Peteris Eglitis reprise their roles from Die Walküre as Brünnhilde and Wotan/the Wanderer.
