Climb the CN Tower
and fight global warming

Toronto - On April 29 more than 5,000 people will climb the world’s tallest building in the 16th annual Canada Life CN Tower Climb for World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada). The 1,776 step challenge takes place from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and this year money raised will help fight global warming - the biggest environmental threat to our planet and its people.

To sign-up, go to wwf.ca or call 416-484-7700 for more information. There is no registration fee but climbers must raise a minimum of $50. Climbers who sign-up and raise $100 before noon on April 18 will be entered in a draw to win a trip for two on an Arctic Adventure valued at almost $9,000 with Horizon & Co.

Groups of four can also participate in the Team Challenge Climb on Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The team entry fee is $500, so grab your family, friends or co-workers, and make a night of it by climbing, competing for prizes, and attending the after-party at Joe Badalis!

The event attracts people of all ages - from families with young children to an 80 year-old grandfather from Scotland! No one should miss this rare opportunity to climb the CN Tower and help WWF-Canada combat global warming.

Urgent action is needed now! Canada’s Arctic is warming faster than anywhere else on the planet. Nearly one million square kilometres of ice have already disappeared, posing serious risks for seals, polar bears and entire Arctic communities. We are also feeling the effects in the city: last year, Toronto had a record 48 smog alerts! So help keep your city and your planet clean, and tackle the tower!
