LANG LANG, piano Friday, September 26, 2008 at 8 PM Exhiliarating. Incredible. Exhausting! That’s what it feels like
seeing Lang Lang perform. He is one of the most viscerally expressive
and charismatic artists to arrive on the international scene in
decades. His most recent high-profile appearance was performing
for 90,000 spectators and over five billion viewers around the world
during the Opening Ceremony of Beijing 2008 World Olympics. Appearing
at Roy Thomson Hall in a recital program of Schubert, Chopin,
Debussy, and Bartók as well as in concert with the Toronto Symphony
Orchestra, Lang Lang comes to Toronto for a week long residency
of education events and performances.
