We have heard the question before and now again: "What is the DTT presenting this year?" Well, here we are, you are invited to Erich Ebermayer’s "Zwei Ahnungslose Engel". Seven performances are being given, starting on March 30th at the usual venue, the Robert Gill Theatre on 214 College Street, St. George Street entrance, 3rd floor. (Please check the ad for details and ordering your tickets by phone at 416-979-7986) Of course it is somewhat of a comedy, the kind life presents us often with, one of errors and human frailties, of mistakes and good will. The play allows us to look at some of the world with the naive eyes of two trusting sisters, the "unsuspecting angels". Going on a journey with them allows us the pleasure of joining them in their belief in the small miracles of our times. The storyline is close to us because it plays in our time, the problems are real problems, close to us in our digital age, where everything appears to be borrowed. Deutsches Theater Toronto is grateful for your support in the past and thanks you for your Membership in 2000 and would appreciate your renewal for 2001. You may, of course, also consider a Sponsorship for this year’s production. Sponsors will, as usual, receive their entitlement of complimentary tickets for opening night. They are also invited to join us in "meeting the Cast" at the reception after the opening night performance, held in the lobby of the Robert Gill Theatre. Something new and going with the time, the DTT now has a Website. You find it under www.dttoronto.com and you may contact us under e-mail info@dttoronto.ca . In the meantime, do not forget your date with the "angels"! |
