Toronto, Ontario – For the 11th straight year, Altamira Summer Arts presents the Canadian Opera Company in concert at Harbourfront Centre’s CIBC Stage (235 Queens Quay West) on Tuesday, August 30, Wednesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 1 at 8 p.m. The concerts are FREE with unreserved general seating. These extremely popular concerts attract approximately 10,000 people to Harbourfront each year, filling seats hours before the performances begin.
COC General Director Richard Bradshaw leads the acclaimed COC orchestra, members of the COC Ensemble Studio and special guest soloists from the COC’s 2005/06 season in a selection of arias and overtures. A special musical performance by children who attend the COC’s Summer Opera Camps is also a yearly highlight.
