Power of the Sun

At Lake Huron

by Danuta Grigaitis

Cold wild winds upset the water
Rolling waves unto the shore,
Restless sunshine peaks through cloudlets
Waiting to perform once more.

High above the waving tree tops
Gliding seagulls brave the sky,
As the constant moving cloudlet
Precious time fast flitteth by.

The mighty sound of powerful nature
Reminds me always and once again
Of our Creator's strength and wisdom;
Who can tamper with His domain ?

There is magic, there is power
In the sound of wind and wave,
Warning for the weak to take shelter,
Challenge for the strong and brave.

Then - in the hush of every sunrise,
In the glow of setting sun
There's peace and beauty ever unchanging
Today as yesteryear since world begun.
