Toronto, ON The Canadian Stage Company is proud to announce the Take a Seat Campaign, a great way to leave a lasting impression this Mother’s Day. The initiative offers patrons the opportunity to name a seat or box at the newly renovated Bluma Appel Theatre in the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, 27 Front St. E. A plaque with the name or dedication will be affixed to the seat or box for the next twenty years, after which time it will be displayed within the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. Patrons who reserve their seat before Mother’s Day receive an invitation to the opening night of the CanStage TD Dream in High Park production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as a custom Canadian Stage folding chair.

There are 850 seats and six boxes available to be named on a first-come, first-served basis. Orchestra seats can be named for $2500, balcony seats for $1500 and boxes for $10,000. Payment can be made outright or through an instalment plan paid over the course of the next year. Gifts are fully tax deductible and charitable receipts will be issued.
