Twelfth Night tells the
story of one young woman’s journey of self-discovery amid a
strange, new world after a tragic shipwreck separates her from
her brother - the only family she has. Set within the strange,
almost fantasy-like world of Illyria, Twelfth Night
is a tale of illusion, deception, disguises, madness, and the
extraordinary things that love can make us to do – and see. It
is a romance couched in a comedy and laced with subtle hints of
darkness.
The Driftwood Theatre Group, founded in 1995, is Ontario’s
beloved outdoor summer theatre tradition. Working with the best
emerging and established artists today, Driftwood celebrates the
work of William Shakespeare through their annual Bard’s Bus
Tour, touring to parks and heritage sites and focusing on
communities with little or no access to professional theatre.
