It was a great pleasure to welcome the winners of the 2nd annual Christmas Market raffle on the premises of the German Canadian Chamber of Commerce on University Street in Toronto. If you recall there was a raffle held on Nathan Philip Square and we finally had the opportunity to give away the wonderful prizes.

The first prize was a trip for two to Germany with Lufthansa Airlines and a two-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Berlin, as well as First Class Railway Passes compliments of the German National Tourist Office. Karen Wright of Scarborough won this grand prize. Congratulations!

Winners of the Toronto Christmas Market raffleThere were of course many other fabulous prizes. Miele had donated one of their famous dishwashers; there were Maple Leaf Tickets in the Gold Section from Dale and Lessmann, a complimentary rip to the Thousand Islands from Mokassin Tours, Pizza for one year from Pizza-Pizza; a gift certificate of $100 from Dennison’s Brewing Co. & Restaurant. Reha Enterprises had donated a $75.00 gift basket of Herbacin products, and Brandt meats also donated a gift certificate for $50.00.

With the give away of the prizes the last act of the 2nd annual Christmas Market had come to an end. The organizers, including myself, wish to thank all those who supported our efforts and hope that everyone will continue to do so. The Christmas Market is a growing proposition and we are all looking forward to another one next Christmas time.
