Many Believe Computers Will Soon Replace Bosses

TWIG - A decade from now, computers will play a leading role in the management of large businesses. That’s what 38% of 1,000 German respondents said recently when asked "What do you think computers will be able to do in ten years?" TNS Emnid, a demographic research institute in Poing near Munich, conducted the survey on behalf of a German computer magazine. Thirty-two percent of respondents said they expect computers will also take over human resources management at major firms. Respondents said they think electronics will play a growing role in the private sphere, too. Seventy percent expect computers will be able to read aloud from newspapers, while 45% believe robots will be kept as "pets" in the year 2013.
