Soccer match between the under-19 woman’s national teams of Germany and Canada in Montréal and Ottawa Following an bilateral agreement on woman’s soccer between the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and the Deutscher Fussballbund (DFB) the German national soccer team of the under 19-woman has been invited to Canada for a two-day-tournament in May 2004 in preparation for the up-coming CONCACAF U-19 Women’s Qualification Championships. The first match will take place May 11th at the Soccer Plexe Catalogna in Lachine, Québec, the second one, May 13th at the Keith Harris Stadium on the Campus of Carleton University in Ottawa at 6.00 p.m. More joint soccer matches are planned; the German under fifteen National Girls team will travel to Atlantic Canada in September 2004. The Canadian girls will travel to Germany in 2005. Women’s soccer has been expanding vastly in Germany in the last 5 years. The German National Team won the World Championship in 2003.
