History TV Show Wants to Solve Your Genealogy/Family History Mystery…

  "Ancestors in the Attic"
Seeking Stories of Canada’s Diverse Roots

History Television

TORONTO—Award winning, Toronto-based production company Primitive Entertainment is producing an exciting new television series to be broadcast this fall on History Television. We are looking for diverse genealogical stories that will explore the multicultural foundations of Canada—from sea to sea!

Do you have a family mystery you’ve always wanted to solve, a family legend you’d like to confirm or a brick wall that you need some help to get through? Maybe your ancestors came to Canada from China in the 19th century, or Morocco in the 1960s, from India, Mexico, or the Caribbean.

History Television wants to help you find your relatives, identify an ancestor in a photograph, or value an artifact. Call or e-mail us with your question and, if we choose your story, our team of professional genealogists will help you answer it!

Send your questions to Ancestors.Search@allianceatlantis.com or call and leave a detailed message at 416-964-9223 x223

Ancestors in the Attic is a 13 x 30 minute program that will take viewers on a road trip across Canada and on a worldwide search for their ancestors. Part personal drama, part forensic investigation and part historical revelation, Ancestors in the Attic will reveal to Canadians in an intimate and dramatic way not only their roots, but also the diverse stories that make up their country.

For more information about the program please go to our website at www.history.ca.

Primitive Entertainment is one of Canadas production companies specializing in high quality, non-fiction films. The company was founded in 1990 and has produced such award-winning films as McLuhan’s Wake and Stolen Spirits of the Haida Gwaii. They are currently producing a 20-part series for History Television called Things That Move.
