Among the greatest tenor sax players of all time and one of the most influential figures of modern jazz, Wayne Shorter was "the idea man" behind Miles Davis's legendary ‘60s quintet, and the leader of the famed Weather Report jazz-fusion group of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Since the millennium, he has been collaborating in riveting, tour-de-force on-stage improvisations with three eminent jazz masters – drummer Brian Blade, bassist John Patitucci and pianist Danilo Pérez.
