For over four decades, gospel legend Mavis Staples has been an inspirational force, from her early days sharing lead vocals with her groundbreaking family group, the Staple Singers, to her powerful solo recordings. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of VHI’s "100 Greatest Women of Rock ‘n’ Roll," Staples has blazed a rhythm and blues trail while keeping her gospel roots.
James Hunter provided backing vocals in the ‘90s for Van Morrison, who has praised Hunter as "the best voice and best-kept secret in British rhythm and blues and soul." Hunter’s 2006 solo release, People Gonna Talk, earned a Grammy® Award nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album of the Year.

Five-time Grammy® Award winner and Chicago blues legend, Buddy Guy returns to Massey Hall for another bruising blues concert with his trademark blistering guitar solos, passionate vocals and boundless energy. After performing for nearly five decades, the 72-year-old blues master remains as vital as ever. He appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone as part of the magazine’s "100 Greatest Guitar Songs" issue (for his ’61 track "Stone Crazy"), recently performed with the Rolling Stones in Martin Scorsese’s concert film, Shine a Light, and just released Skin Deep, an album of all-original material with such guests artists as Eric Clapton and Susan Tedeschi.
