To turn public opinion against Falun Gong,China’s state-run media disseminates false propaganda that claims people who practice Falun Gong will turn psychotic. The policeman instead of doctor who does not have the skill of medicine is injecting the psychotropic drugs into the woman because she refuses to give up her belief in Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance. The drug may cause slurred speech, paralysis or even death. The grand master artist Qi Baishi’s granddaughter who is an artist herself and is about 80 years old had under this kind of torture and is now no one knows her whereabouts.
In this painting, however, from her face, you can see the strength in the eyes. There is no hate, but a foreseeable good future for herself and for the world as the result of not giving up of the righteous virtue to assimilate to the characteristic of the Universe: Truthfulness-Compassion -Forbearance that all people should follow.
In the contrary, you can see the policemen who are doing the injection feel uncertain about what they are doing to the lady and are thinking how can a person sustain such a torture and still not giving up her beliefs.
The babies in the light symbolize the fruitful future she is seeing and they are crowning her to bring her the good future.
