Richtfest at Heidelberg Village
in St. Catharines!

  Another milestone was reached when Club Heidelberg celebrated Richtfest on June 18, 2005. Approximately 225 members, guests and future residents where on hand for the Richtfest celebration. Both Bishop James Wingle and Reverend Wukasch bestowed God’s blessing upon the building, its future residents and the workers and Joe Weizel delivered a traditional "Richtspruch".

"Now we are at the home stretch." Said Martin Wittmann, Treasurer of Club Heidelberg and Project Coordinator of Heidelberg Village. If all the stars are lined up correctly the building should be ready for occupancy by the end of November, beginning of December 2005.

We now have only 15 apartments left. Now is the time to make your move!

Richtspruch

Das eigene Heim, es ist fast vollendet,
behüt’s Euch Gott, der alles sendet,
vor jedem Schaden, allem Ungemach,
vom tiefen Keller bis zum hohen Dach.
Wir wünschen es sehr, so soll es sein:
Hier zieh’n mit Euch Glück und Frieden ein!
Wenn dieses Haus so lang nur steht,
bis aller Neid und Hass vergeht,
dann bleibt’s fürwar so lange stehn,
bis die Welt wird untergehen.
