…no, not Ketchup or ice-cream but beer! After judging 57 brands of Ontario-brewed beers – in 15 different styles – the winners in the three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze (also referred to as People’s Choice) had been determined and were honored here this afternoon.

The winners excel in the beer industry. They exemplified creativity and were determined to succeed and win awards at the fifth-annual "Ontario Brewing Awards" ceremony that is sponsored by: Toronto’s Festival of Beer, the Esplanade Bier Markt, Ontario Brewers and LibationNation.ca.

Roger Mittag, the Professor of Beer, hosted the awards ceremony and consumer tasting at Toronto’ own nirvana for beer lovers, The Esplanade Bier Markt.
