(Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada) – While it may seem early to think
about Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, it’s not too early to think
about winning big.
The annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Onkel Hans Lottery kick-off
was held this week, revealing an exciting list of prizes available
for 2009.
Once again this year the prizes include great travel opportunities,
including a Grand Prize of four (4) flights to any WestJet destination.
The Onkel Hans Lottery benefits many non-profit and service groups
in Waterloo Region who act as ticket sellers.
Tickets sell for $3.00 per ticket, two tickets for $5.00 or five
tickets for $10.00 and can be purchased from many area not-for-profit
organizations at local events, through all Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest
volunteers, and at Hans Haus, located at 17 Benton Street, Kitchener.
The final draw takes place on November 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Delta Kitchener-Waterloo.

About Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is a not-for-profit Bavarian festival
founded in 1969 by a group of volunteers committed to contributing
to the social and economic vitality of Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada
twin cities with German heritage. Canada’s Greatest Bavarian Festival
celebrates German heritage, food, music and festivities and is supported
by more than 40 not-for-profit organizations. The festival is operated
by eight year-round full-time staff, over 485 volunteers and 1,300
community and service club volunteers that stage the nine-day festival
each October promoting a unique German cultural experience. As well
as the economic boost the festival gives the local economy during
the international festival, over $1.5 million is raised each year
by the not-for-profit organizations associated with Kitchener-Waterloo
Oktoberfest, one of the top three most recognized event brands in
