Ontario’s Export Club

Mr. Charles JanthurSFR - Every Month Mr. Charles Janthur, Chairman of the Central Ontario Chapter of the Export Club and also of the Federation of Export Clubs Canada, calls members and associates together in the Albany Club, Toronto, and introduces people to other people who he thinks might be useful to each other in business. These monthly meetings always feature an interesting guest speaker with expertise in business pertaining to another country or new opportunity.

Paired with a cultural and spiritual presentation this gathering is one of the most successful of the year and always well visited.

Native traditions......explained by a wise teacher

Many of the First Nations Chiefs attend and this time Regional Chief Simon, who also represents his Chief Simonpeople in Ottawa, explained his thoughts on what is necessary and desirable to doing business today in Canada with the native people of this country.

He did point out that there are many successes to be told besides the casino stories, which we are all familiar with, but a lot more needs to be done. He still sees poverty as a major problem and expanded business development as one of the remedies.

That evening many developments of First Nation Projects were introduced, such as an Industrial Development Park in Sarnia, with many different existing companies- including specialized tool and die making, Manitoulin based service oriented developments such as tire distribution, gas stations and so on, or the plastic moulding projects of Moose Deer Point. Financial development is also available, and if someone has a dream he wants to explore the Export Club is the place to go to and explore the possibilities.

Right there on the spot Mr. Janthur that evening matched up several business interests that he thought were beneficial to each other, and from all we hear, this "guru" has many faithful followers, including several business men from Germany who he helped to settle into a business in Ontario. Networking has never been so openly pursued and so successful.
