…was not just an ordinary brunch, but also a feast for
the most discerning palates! Christian Probst, the resident Chef
at the club, and his many helpers did a fantastic job – one that
would have pleased Lucullus himself.
The table decorations were delightful as well, with Easter
baskets filled with traditional colorful goodies.
As the first hungry guests arrived, the current Miss Danube,
Cheyenne Kertes who was also in charge of the children’s
activities later on, greeted everyone at the door. About 150
guests were expected and almost 200 showed up for the colorful
buffet, including Toni Baumann and his family.
For those of you who couldn’t make it, here is what you missed:
The salad bar offered salad of beans, peppers, tomatoes and
onion, and of course Caesar salad and coleslaw plus two types of
salad dressings. Next in line were scrambled eggs and sausages,
maple glazed ham, Quiche Loraine, a medley of spring vegetables,
Parisienne potatoes, Rice Pilaf, a seafood medley in wine dill
sauce, roast of top
sirloin beef, rosemary roasted leg of lamb, honey-garlic roast
chicken and roast pork.

Pastries galore |
The dessert table featured a large
selection of cheeses, a plethora of cakes and a medley of fresh
fruits – all to go with lots of fresh coffee. Of course, the bar
was open for any other form of liquid refreshment.
There was so much variety, it would be impossible not to find
anything suitable to eat on this buffet, even for people with
special needs. It was simply wonderful to be able to leisurely
go back again and again to try this or that dish.
After the rush was over the dedicated Cheyenne looked after
entertaining the children with coloring contests and gave out
other seasonal goodies that
the kids could take home.
Those of you, who missed this event, should mark it down for
next year!
