Easter Traditions

All our organizations follow an Easter ritual of gatherings. They are modeled around family and children.

Reiner Walter welcomes children, parents and grand-parentsIn the Hansa Club of Brampton the Easter Bunny comes every year and brings lots of eggs and baskets and toys for the children. While parents, grandparents and great grandparents sit around and enjoy coffee and cake to the sound of Albert Dittgen and his accordionAlbert Dittgen, the little ones are kept busy with arts and crafts activities until the bunny actually shows up after the initial Easter egg hunt.

The Weiss Blau Bayern also came to entertain their own with the children dancing the Schuplattler routines they rehearse every week. Perhaps they found new enthusiasts among the younger children that were too young last year to join.

Easter came to this tableThis year the bunny was especially good with the kids. It was a joy to watch the heartfelt interaction and the reactions of the children. But what am I saying, just look at the pictures!

With charm and a firm grip on daddyEveryone was very happy, even the big kid named Sybille, who was surprised with her own Easter basket. What a treat!

Sybille, happy as a kid with her Easter basketUntil next time
